Today poker is something that many German enjoy playing. One of the more unusual things that has recently happened in Germany was the very first strip poker tournament. This was a chance for any German who was not afraid to show a little skin and who was confident about their poker playing, to enjoy a slightly different type of poker tournament. This event took place in mid-May during 2010. The event was sponsored by the Billy Bob condom company.
The strip full tilt poker tournament attracted forty poker players. Thirty-three of the participants were men while the remaining seven were women. One of the details that attracted many of the players was the fact that unlike most poker tournaments, this particular one did not have a hefty entrance fee. As long as the player was wearing clothing when they showed up, they were allowed to play. The more clothing they wore, the better.
When the players got to the tournament they were given a stack of poker chips and told that the rules of the poker tournament were the same as normal strip poker, whenever the player lost a hand, they had to choose one article of clothing to remove. Event organizers were a little worried about the women trying to distract the men, so the ladies were urged to make responsible bets and to also cover their nipples.
The event organizers did not try to turn this into a serious event. They wanted the participants to have a good time. When a pkr poker player showed up, they were given a pile of chips that they could use. When the poker player lost and had to shed an article of clothing, if they were able to do so in a manner that entertained the crowd, they were given additional chips.
While the event was meant to be fun, the players did have a reason to continue to play. Twelve of the players were able to advance to the next round which was held in Hamburg. The best player from that round won a round trip ticket to Las Vegas and also got a four night stay at the MGM Casino.
